Shift:1st (6am-2pm) Monday-Friday

Job Summary
We are looking for an Entry-Level Paint Prep to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with manufacturing experience who are eager to learn the painting and finishing process. The Paint Prep will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting by performing tasks such as sanding, wiping down parts, and applying caulk, as well as assisting in maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role may also require working at heights using ladders.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Sand and smooth surfaces of units or components to prepare them for painting.
- Wipe down surfaces to remove dust, dirt, and oils to ensure proper paint adhesion.
- Apply caulk to seams and joints as needed to ensure proper seal and finish.
- Assist with the setup and preparation of parts for the paint booth or finishing process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including keeping tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Safely work from ladders to reach high or hard-to-access areas during prep work.
- Work closely with the paint and finishing team to ensure high-quality and timely production.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in other prep or manufacturing tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Previous manufacturing or hands-on work experience preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of sanding and surface preparation techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
- Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team.
- Ability to safely work from ladders and reach overhead.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- No formal education is required, but high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Entry-level position with on-the-job training available.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and reach overhead frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work safely at heights using ladders.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and quality.
