Job Summary:
- Performs a variety of warehousing duties requiring an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
- Work involves most of the following: Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
- May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
- Oversees the storage and distribution operations.
- Directs employees engaged in Warehousing Operations using automated and manual material moving equipment, devices, and systems.
- Plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on workload projections on weekly or monthly basis.
- Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences IAW general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Project Supervisor.
- Redirects workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations.
- Conducts planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work.
- Ensures work is done properly and efficiently IAW the terms and conditions of the contract.
Requirements:
- Uses DSS and other Government Data Systems resolving common error conditions, responds to computer output instructions or error conditions, following standard operating procedures.
- Must have the ability to be cleared for a NACI clearance to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to work in an environment exposed to the elements, both hot and cold.
- Have the ability to learn and operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) of various types to Include stand-up and sit-down forklifts
- Must have the ability to be cleared for a NACI clearance to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
