Commercial Roof Consultant (Roof Designer/Project Manager)- Technical Assurance Inc., a national building envelope consulting group, is seeking qualified individuals to join our team. Technical Assurance manages building enclosure consulting and design for assignments of any size or scope. As a multi‐state professional firm, we have successfully delivered program solutions across 50 different states to‐date. Qualified candidates must possess knowledge of commercial roofing systems, client relation skills, basic computer skills and be willing to travel. Registered Roof Consultant credential is preferred or equivalent job experience.
Technical Assurance is a 100% employee-owned company.
This position requires long term travel depending on the applicants' location. Applicant could be away from home for weeks at a time; assignment dependent.
Must be based in Wisconsin area.
Must be a United States Citizen and able to show proof of citizenship (Permissible under Title VII bona fide occupational qualification).
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- The Project Manager position will require a comprehensive knowledge of the day-to-day execution of assigned project(s) including managing, coordinating and supervising to ensure the work is completed on time and being compliant with the schedule, safety, cost and quality
- Proficient in designing wide variety of commercial roof systems and developing project manuals that include specifications, drawings, and bid forms.
- The PM will manage all document control of submittals, change orders, correspondence and drawings and their impact on the construction schedule
- Manage client interaction and promote positive relationships
- Resolve project related issues quickly and effectively to keep work progress on track
- Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor invoices against actual work
- Prepare progress and status reports for management and clients
- Ability to identify building envelope issues, recommend solutions, and provide estimates of probable cost
Project Manager Skills Required
- Experience in commercial roofing required
- Self-motived with excellent communication skills working with the project team including the client, contractors, administrative staff, and design team
- IIBEC Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) or equivalent knowledge and experience
- 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education managing multiple high-profile commercial projects from $1 to $5 million in value
- Proficient with drawings and specification review, development and implementation
- Travel may be required
- Must have the ability to effectively organize own schedule to ensure timely completion of projects
- Multi task and work on multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to constant change
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet deadlines
- Team player who possesses a positive attitude and good work ethic
- Problem solving skills (identify, analyze, research, evaluation and resolve)
