Job Description
Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Student Success Technician (Part-Time) position, in the Student Success Center within the Division of Student Engagement. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s Main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta, Ga.
Under direct supervision of the Director of Student Success and Special Initiatives, the Student Success Technician (Part-Time) Provides secretarial and clerical support to the Student Engagement unit and serves as a liaison and initial first point of contact for stakeholders entering the Academic Complex and Student Success Center. Assists potential, new, and current students to navigate through the admissions and registration processes, providing basic information, appointment scheduling assistance, and
referrals to appropriate personnel when necessary. Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:

Assists potential, new, and current students to navigate through the admissions and registration processes, providing basic information, appointment scheduling assistance, and
referrals to appropriate personnel when necessary. Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Provides clerical and secretarial support for the unit.
- Assists with drafting documents related to special initiatives, workshops, and projects (call campaigns etc.) assigned and required.
- Assists with departmental business functions such as ordering and inventory of supplies.
- Determines the nature of the customer’s business and provides appropriate information and assistance; and refers them to appropriate personnel, when necessary.
- Assist students with navigating ATC information systems and other related technologies to schedule appointments with Student Success personnel.
- Remains knowledgeable of admissions processes, academic course offerings, and referral sources.
- Understands and adheres to all college and TCSG policies and procedures.
- Maintains filing and record-keeping systems; and
- Perform additional duties, as assigned.
- Knowledge of standard office procedures.
- Ability to identify issues and resolve routine problems or seek assistance when applicable
- Demonstrated ability to prepare confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to schedule student appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Must possess and demonstrate the following:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent AND one (1) year directly related work experience in a higher education institution or busy, high-volume professional environment.
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:
- Associate’s degree or higher AND two (2) or more years of directly related work experience in a higher education institution.
- Experience providing general clerical and customer or student intake support and data entry duties.
- Experience engaging and working with college personnel and partners.
- Ability to think quickly and independently.
