Job Title: LED Repair Technician

Status: Full Time

Working Days: Monday-Friday 9-5, Saturday and Sunday as needed

Travel Required: No

Hours Per Day: Approx. 8-10

Job Purpose: We are seeking a LED Module Repair Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain LED modules and electronic components. Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, performing soldering and component replacements, conducting quality tests, and maintaining repair documentation.

Job Duties: 

• Diagnose and Repair: Inspect and troubleshoot LED modules to identify defects or malfunctions. Perform repairs on components such as diodes, circuit boards, connectors, and power supplies.
• Testing and Quality Control: Conduct functional tests to verify repairs and ensure LED modules meet operational standards before returning them to service.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of diagnostics, repairs, and parts used. Provide written reports on recurring issues to assist in improving product reliability.
• Component Replacement: Perform soldering, desoldering, and reflow soldering to replace defective components. Use precision tools for assembly and disassembly.
• Preventative Maintenance: Identify potential issues and recommend maintenance solutions to minimize future failures.
• Inventory Management: Track and manage repair parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components.
• Compliance: Follow safety protocols and company standards during all repair activities.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate degree or certification in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in electronics repair or a similar technical role.
• Skills:Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, soldering iron, and signal generators.
• Expertise in soldering techniques and surface-mount technology (SMT) repairs.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work with small components.

Computer Skills: 

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Email; PC and Apple Operating Systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
