What are the responsibilities and job description for the Database Developer position at Technical Intelligence Solutions, LLC (We're Hiring!)?
Mid-Level SQL Developer/Data Engineer needed to support data-driven initiatives by maintaining Databricks pipelines, managing API integrations, and enabling data visualization through Qlik.
Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a DoD Secret clearance.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3–10 years of experience in software development or data engineering
- Proficient in SQL
- Experience with Databricks to build, maintain, and enhance data pipelines
- Education: B.A./BS or M.A./MS
- Location: Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the Pentagon to facilitate occasional onsite work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Databricks to build, maintain, and enhance data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot any failed runs involving Databricks and the SharePoint API connection that imports client data into the Qlik environment.
- Support efforts related to new data acquisitions.
- Engineer new data into the Databricks environment from the S3 bucket.
Skills and Proficiencies:
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and a strong familiarity with the Databricks environment.
- Proficient in SQL, including joins, select statements, and query optimization.
- Skilled in developing and presenting complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
- Demonstrated excellence in consultative abilities, organization, customer service, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Proven experience managing multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
Additional Information:
- Hybrid position with a primarily remote setup. Onsite presence will be required as needed for meetings, collaboration, or other business purposes.
