As a Cyber-Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting DoD programs by identifying cyber risks, interpreting security policies, and developing effective mitigation strategies. Working closely with engineers and subject matter experts, you’ll analyze technical, environmental, and personnel data to provide a comprehensive view of the threat landscape. Your expertise will guide clients in implementing actionable solutions, including creating detailed presentations, white papers, and project milestones. You'll bridge the gap between complex security concepts and practical client strategies, empowering them to make informed decisions to safeguard mission-critical networks and systems. Location : On-site in Reston, VA
Description Requirements :
IT Experience : Minimum of 5 years in professional IT roles.
Cybersecurity Expertise : At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, including Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes within DoD or IC programs.
A&A Skills : Proven experience with ATO package development, artifact generation, and maintaining key documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessments, and POA&Ms.
Security Hardening : Advanced knowledge of securing Windows and Linux OS environments, leveraging tools like ACAS, SCAP, STIG / SRGs, eMASS / Xacta, ESS, Prisma Cloud, Kubernetes, Rancher, and Docker.
Framework Proficiency : Deep understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST guidelines, and CNSSI standards, including NIST SP 800-60, NIST SP 800-53, and CNSSI 1253.
