Position Overview:
We are seeking an entry level Calibration Technician/ Administrative Assistant specializing in Physical Dimensional calibration. The role requires knowledge to calibrate and troubleshoot equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and temperature sensors, and assist with administrative tasks. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of clients' measurement instruments, with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Calibrate and troubleshoot test equipment (micrometers, calipers, temperature sensors, etc.).
- Issue and review calibration certificates.
- Manage data entry and monitor orders.
- Assist with inventory control and customer service communication.
- Perform office duties, maintain lab cleanliness, and support workflow.
- Assist in electrical equipment calibration and testing under supervision.
- Prepare technical reports and other documentation.
- Handle additional assigned duties.
All calibration is performed in accordance with NIST traceable standards and A2LA accredited to ISO/IEC 17025.
Requirements and Skills:
- Experience calibrating test equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.).
- Customer service, administrative assistant or data entry experience.
- DOD, PMEL, or Military calibration background preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to error-free work.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for team interaction and client collaboration.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
