Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Territory Account Manager to drive sales and manage client relationships across Ohio, Michigan, Eastern Indiana, Kentucky, and Western Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate is self-driven, competitive, and organized, with strong territory and time management skills.
While a background in technical sales or metrology is preferred, we are also open to candidates with a calibration or quality background who are looking to transition into sales. This role offers significant growth potential and strong earning opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Account & Territory Strategy
- Develop and execute an effective time and territory management plan.
- Identify new business opportunities using Sales Intelligence Software and through industry networking.
- Conduct 12–15 in-person customer meetings per week to assess calibration needs and present TMI’s solutions.
- Maintain relationships with key contacts across quality, calibration, purchasing, and accounting departments within customer organizations.
- Collaborate with the local Branch Manager to build quotes and respond to RFPs.
Sales & Business Development
- Drive sales of test & measurement calibration and repair services.
- Promote and expand product distribution sales to new and existing customers.
- Retain and grow existing customer business by identifying additional services TMI can offer.
- Analyze customer markets and competitor activities to develop and execute a winning sales strategy.
Operational & Reporting Responsibilities
- Provide monthly sales reports and maintain accurate records in CRM.
- Manage sales pipeline activities and ensure smooth customer onboarding.
- Travel approximately 70% within the assigned territory, including overnight stays.
Requirements and Skills:
- Sales or metrology background required.
- Technical, testing, or calibration experience required.
- Must be willing to travel throughout your territory most weeks.
- Proven track record in B2B sales or business development, preferably in a manufacturing services environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM/lead development tools.
- Familiarity with the calibration industry and competitor offerings is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and articulate operational requirements for smooth client onboarding.
