Cost Accountant/Analyst

Technical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a Cost Accountant / Analyst on behalf of our client, a Pittsburgh area manufacturer. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to : -Assist in preparation of journal entries and completion of month-end close process-Upload of financial results and assist in upload of budgets and forecasts-Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and bank reconciliation-Inventory accounting including reporting, reconciliation, and cycle count administration-Cost accounting, and reporting / analysis on direct labor, purchase price variances, and work orders-Prepare and review Sales / Use tax returns-Fixed asset / Lease accounting and depreciation / amortization-Intercompany accounting and accruals-Other higher level accounting accruals and reconciliations-Prepare and maintain Internal Control documentation process-Assist in internal control audits and external audits-Collaboration with AP, AR, Sales, Manufacturing, and other departments on operational reporting and other projects as required-Provide support to Controller and Financial Analyst-Utilize Avante ERP System and Cognos Financial Reporting System-Examine and analyze financial data reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel-Work on special projects as requiredRequired skills and education : -Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field-8 years of experience in accounting role in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to general ledger, inventory, costing, operational metrics, and financial analysis-Proficient knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel, skills in Microsoft Access a plus-Ability to work independently and to manage priorities and workflow in a fast-paced team environment-Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills-Must be detail oriented and be able to meet deadlines-Excellent verbal and written communication skillsTechnical Solutions Inc. provides a wide range of staffing services throughout Western Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
