Job Description:
Technical Source is seeking a mid-level Facilities/Maintenance Technician for a long-term contract position with a pharmaceutical client. This individual will serve as the Operations Command Center point of contact and provide concise communication to various stakeholders, including property management, building engineers, internal R&D groups, RE&FM team representatives, and Security management.
This role requires utilizing education/experience along with collaboration with internal subject matter experts in areas such as HVAC, site power, UPS systems, emergency generators, etc. to ensure campus conditions are normal and/or optimized. The incumbent will monitor site systems, assess trends, investigate abnormalities, and coordinate corrective action when necessary.
The Facilities/Maintenance Technician will support equipment repairs and maintenance as required. They will communicate external conditions to key stakeholders and escalate activities as appropriate. Additionally, this position will be responsible for providing specific critical R&D support services.
Duties:
- Monitor site performance using various building systems.
- Analyze system data to identify abnormal equipment performance, troubleshoot, determine corrective action, and coordinate repair with staff, property management, or contractors as applicable.
- Support research programs by monitoring space conditions, altering, modifying, or maintaining facilities systems to meet business requirements.
- Provide direction for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance efforts.
- Analyze and provide written reports of maintenance trends.
- Provide timely verbal and written communications with team and customers.
- Work with all relevant SOP's.
- Perform facilities work requests utilizing computerized IWMS and document work product.
- Provide specialized and/or general support when required to other departments.
- Operate company vehicles.
- Maintain customer service standards.
- Be available 24/7 for assistance and emergency response.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC concepts.
- Understand building management systems.
- Knowledgeable in construction and building trade methods as they relate to HVAC & energy usage.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), SharePoint, etc.
