What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Estimator position at Technical Staffing Resources?
TSR is seeking to employ a Senior Estimator. This is a long-term contract position with one of the country's largest EPC firms. The expected duration of the project is 1 year or longer and will offer a hybrid or REMOTE schedule with the office based in Newark, DE.
Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices in project controls related to the preliminary or definitive estimates for projects.
- Calculates estimates by using processes, labor availability and productivity, material prices, based on historical data. Tabulates cost studies, cash flows, and prospect analysis.
- Uses experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes. At this level, employees are typically expected to perform duties for 2 or more functional disciplines.
- May provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Requirements
- Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 5 years of experience.
- EPC experience in Refinery or chemical industrial industry is preferred
