What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at Techniform Metal Curving of Texas?
SUMMARY: Drives lift truck, manages die yard, performs die changes in production & moves materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Performs daily maintenance on lift trucks.
- Pulls dies daily as per pull sheet provided by supervisor.
- Inspects dies for stability & quality, concurs with supervisor on disposition thereof.
- Keeps die yard in order by properly stacking & identifying all dies.
- Help to manage and maintain ready rack for on deck dies
- Returns dies to proper storage area
- Keeps isle ways clear
- Loads & Unloads trucks
- Protects production materials from damage during relocation.
- Fills propane tanks as required
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Less than high school education or up to six-month related experience or training or equivalent combination or education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: TMC issued Fork Lift license.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Basic skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Average math skills. Ability to read tape measure.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
