We are currently seeking a Principal Piping Designer , to join our team based in Claremont, CA.
About the Job
Reporting to the project Piping Lead, the Principal Piping Designer will develop equipment and piping design including equipment layout and nozzle orientation where applicable using process information ( PFD, P&ID) as the basis to support project deliverable requirement. Design activities covers all phases of project development including PDP, FEED and Detail engineering.
Responsibilities :
- Equipment modeling
- Nozzle, ladder and platform orientation for towers and other vessels
- Pipe modeling
- Isometric extraction
- Work with other department as well as disciplines to resolve design conflicts (e.g. pipe routing / support and or clashes with other model objects).
- Supervise / mentor juniors and intermediates including in overseas workshare offices.
- Ensure review and check of engineering and design deliverables
- Develop tie-point packages
- Field walk-downs, supervision of tie-point identification and tagging.
