We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Piping Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Claremont, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of piping design and engineering on projects.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of discipline design requirements, including plot plan, layout, material selection, and support design. They will also possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, project managers, and engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of piping design and engineering on projects
- Manage a team of piping designers to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards
- Lead the design and development of piping systems, including plot plan, layout, material selection, and support design
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years' piping layout and design experience in the refinery/petrochemical industry
- Proficient in the use of Intergraph SmartPlant Review software and Navisworks
- Strong estimating capabilities for materials, man-hours, and scheduling
- Ability to travel overseas as necessary to support projects
