Hiring for a Drilling Operations Manager in Odessa, TX to manage all drilling related operational activities including field and shop operations. Scope to include drilling / wellhead shop assembly, tooling department, and all field related activities. Prioritize activities and allocate resources across the field and shop to ensure quality, error-free products and services to customers while meeting safety, operational and financial goals. Responsible for the on-time delivery of products and services to both internal and external customers. Responsible for developing staff, recognizing high-potential employees, and optimizing workforce shifts to provide appropriate, cost-effective coverage for all required services.

Job Description
- Manages overall drilling and wellhead operations under general guidance from geomarket VP to develop and implement strategic plans to align with geomarket and business objectives and corporate initiatives.
- Understand and communicate Permian objectives to team, driving results of the organization's performance against these objectives, interpret customer standards and requirements, removes constraints and resolve unusual and or nonrecurring problems.
- Enforces the standards of performance for field and shop activities set by the geomarket VP.
- Partners with the sales organization in the sales, service, and distribution efforts of the base.
- Responsible for scheduling, staffing, approving time and participating in investigations as needed.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement within Permian operations and partner with appropriate support functions to coordinate implementation.
- Ensure that all shop and field activities are performed in accordance with the strictest standards of quality to prevent non-conformances and quality escapes to customers.
- Manages all field and shop operational resources and allocates appropriately to maximize capacity utilization.
- Tracks technician utilization and works to minimize nonproductive time.
- Enforces Duty of Care across the organization at leadership and operator level.
