Job Purpose
The HSE Manager is responsible for managing health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance for the business unit sites to include Davis and Shingle Springs. This includes the development, implementation, and continued compliance, policies and procedures of environmental, health, safety and security policies to include chemical safety, ergonomics, illness, injury prevention, and building safety and security. Ensures compliance and required reporting with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to environmental safety and handles interface with appropriate agencies. Oversees licensed hazardous waste disposal, and monitors waste handling. Develops and oversees company training programs for employees in areas such as compliance training, facility inspection, hazardous material handling, emergency response, industrial hygiene, fire safety, crane and rigging. Ensures appropriate corrective action is taken where health and safety hazards exist.
Job Description
- Participates in global HSE network and proactively engages counterparts in other businesses and regions to share learnings and best practices
- Responsible for the oversight and governance of regional HSE policies in alignment with corporate and global standards/policies to ensure compliance
- Develops, implements, maintains, and improves the HSE management system in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policy.
- Oversee HSE effectiveness, strategies and improvement programs for the local business.
- Develops, monitors, and maintains safety and issue prevention policies, processes, procedures and certifications.
- Facilitates and manages training for the local safety committee and emergency response team.
- Investigates HSE incidents, assesses risk and oversees corrective actions.
- Manages and monitors hazardous waste and environmental compliance.
- Acts as liaison to all applicable HSE related government agencies.
- Maintain statistics and metrics, determine performance trends, and prepare regular reports to senior management locally and TechnipFMC Corporate HSE designee
- Minimum of a BS in health and safety, related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10 years HSES experience working in California.
- Experience managing and implementing HSE in a design and manufacturing environment.
- Solid knowledge of workers compensation and federal and California OSHA laws and regulations.
- Working knowledge of environmental health and safety standards (such as ISO14001) and best industry practices.
- Must have thorough understanding of the HSE discipline and experience interfacing with regulatory agencies.

This pay scale is intended to comply with applicable state minimum wage laws. In the event that state minimum wage provides for compensation in excess of the lower end of the range reflected herein, that lower end should automatically be read to reflect the minimum wage required by state law. If and when the Company learns of such a discrepancy, it will promptly adjust the scale to comply with state law. Under no circumstances, however, should any scale provided by the Company herein be read or interpreted to suggest that the Company intends to pay below state mandated minimum wage for this position.
