Duties
Responsibilities include: Solve practical problems encountered in fields of specialization and apply engineering principles in solving design, development and modification problems of parts or assemblies for products or systems; Design products and systems that ensure the quality of the product and efficiency of the workforce and manufacturing process; Review field installation procedures, operations, and maintenance manuals of existing technologies or applications;. Ensure that support assignments meet standards and performance requirements; Prepare documentation, information, and communications such as ECN (Engineering Change Notices), field installation/commissioning procedures (ICP) and operations and maintenance manuals; Ensure conformance to all policies and procedures related to engineering functions, labor reporting, and systems reporting; Utilize CAD/CAM and database systems to make layouts, analyze designs, evaluate equipment systems and generate new equipment designs; Analyze the product’s function, design, and test the components and evaluate the design’s overall effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety; Participate in field trails of new products to determine design limits and improvements that are needed. May telecommute.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any field) or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Product Engineer-related occupation.
Position Requires Experience In The Following
- Experience with Gate Valve Design for the purpose of product design, including but not limited to: new product development/qualification, root causes analysis/failure mode investigation, value engineering/cost reduction, design for manufacturing, assembly and testing.
- Experience with hard facing manufacturing processes for product design improvement, vendor qualification and manufacturing audits, root causes analysis/failure mode investigation value engineering and new product development.
- Experience with material selection for compliance to customer requirements, new product development/research for new industry requirements such as hydrogen service, carbon capture and sequestration etc.
- Experience with API and NACE industry standards.
- Experience with design for pressure vessels and ASME codes.
- Experience with metallic and nonmetallic seals and core products within valves.
- Experience with Actuator and Choke design and product lines.
- Field experience with installation, commissioning and aftermarket services.
- Experience with new product development and qualifications.
