SUMMARY OF POSITION:
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for planning and designing manufacturing processes in an industrial plant, providing direct advisory support in the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and manufacturing theory and design, with experience in analytical and CAD software. They will be able to prepare plans, process specifications, and procedures, production aids, and assembly fixtures, and conduct MRP support studies, factory cost work standard development, and assignments of similar complexity.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and implement effective manufacturing processes to meet design objectives on new or improved products and/or processes.
- Analyze and evaluate test and production data, preparing technical analysis and recommending manufacturing methods and processes required to meet design objectives.
- Provide production floor and assembly support in technical matters relating to assembly drawing interpretation, Engineering Change Notices, rework, manufacturing difficulties, and specifications.
- Conduct analysis or tests pertaining to the development of new methods, materials, processes, or standards and provide recommendations accordingly.
- Coordinate with other technical support personnel to ensure seamless execution of projects.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of related experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field is required.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and manufacturing theory and design is essential, along with experience in analytical and CAD software.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are necessary for success in this role.
