SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Maintenance Helper is responsible for performing the necessary tasks to support various activities required to maintain plant equipment and the facility. The Helper will perform basic tasks, including, but not limited to, operating the floor scrubber daily and cleaning/upkeep equipment. The Helper will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Operates Hilo, aerial/scissor lift, and die cart.
- Equipment cleaning/upkeep.
- Adheres to all safety guidelines and monitors the tool room for potential safety concerns.
- Treats all team members with respect and dignity.
- Responsible for inspecting and performing repairs and preventative maintenance under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor.
- Conducts preventative maintenance according to schedule and records it in Plex for repair machinery and equipment as necessary and/or directed by the maintenance supervisor.
- Keeps work area clean, organized, and free of contaminants.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):
- Detail-Oriented - Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
- Goal Completion - Inspired to perform well by the completion of tasks
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Capable of learning and utilizing the Plex system for data entry and PM tracking
- Troubleshooting
- Ability to lift 25 – 50 pounds
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
- Can perform basic math and has computer skills
- Must be able to use hand and power tools.
