What you will be doing:
- Operate machines or assembly equipment to make parts or products.
- Read work orders, work instructions, formulas, or processing charts.
- Maintain production documentation.
- Position and secure inserts, hand loads and work pieces on machines.
- Remove finished products from machines, using hand tools, air hoses and other equipment.
- Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain Techniplas and customer quality standards.
- File, deburr, sand, grind, or polish metal or plastic objects.
- Fill in appropriate information on labels and associated documentation needed on products when necessary.
- Final packaging of products for shipment.
- Responsible for clean-up procedures.
- Perform re-work duties as assigned.
- Relieve other operators for breaks as needed.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks.
What you bring:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Reading comprehension - understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Language - read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
- Mathematics - knowledge of basic math and their applications.
- Writing - complete paperwork and documents at the workstation.
- Manual dexterity - ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or both hands to grasp or assemble objects. Ability to coordinate your limbs while sitting or standing.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 25 pounds.
Qualifications
• A high school education, diploma, or GED with an interest in manufacturing.
• A performance-driven, team-oriented and client-focused attitude/demeanor.
• Good written/verbal communication skills and an impressive work ethic.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A strong mechanical/technical aptitude or background with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions in English.
• Must be able to work standing for an entire shift with frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.
• The ability to work productively and cooperatively in a team environment.
• Must be reliable and on time. Attendance is crucial!
• Must pass our mandatory drug screening.
