Job Summary
The Supply Chain Data Analyst performs analysis to help drive business practices and decisions in order to drive higher traffic and sales conversions. Through these efforts, the analyst becomes a subject matter expert on all processes related to the services offered by Techniweld USA. This role reports to the Senior Vice President, and offers support to the purchasing and operations teams with an eventual opportunity to become a salesperson if desired.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Track inbound purchase orders arrival dates & coordinate import movements
- Assist purchasing team with new part number setup and updating pricing and other information for existing part numbers
- Track and update related product information as vendors make it available to us, or follow up with vendors to provide such information.
- Assist other members with IT support needs
- Ensure world-class product information for various current and future product lines. Content includes digital assets such as images, spec sheets, safety data sheets, as well as product meta-data such as specifications, certifications, approvals, pricing, etc.
- Partner with marketing and IT teams for optimization of product pages and to ensure focus supports larger initiatives.
- Maintain and create relevant associations between products including cross sells, related products, etc.
- Update pricing
- Work with other PIM specialists to ensure all relevant sales pitches, spec sheets, safety data sheets, etc. are created according to our brand guidelines.
Skills and Experience
- Required: Intermediate to Advanced Google Sheets/Excel sheets for VLOOKUP, filling data, CONCATENATE, etc.
- Required: Curiosity and Inquisitiveness and a desire to learn and grow
- Required: Identify and understand patterns in data, and be able to identify any mistakes and outliers to correct the errors
- Preferred: Oracle Netsuite platform experience is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree with a regionally accredited program or 5 years of relevant work experience required.
- Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken and written English.
- Strong computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Possess proficient analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills in order to interpret data and make subsequent decisions and recommendations. Resourceful enough to solve problems by searching multiple sources if information is not available all at one source
- Ability to handle multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the day
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals, and to calmly and efficiently resolve problems
- Ability to organize effectively, set priorities, manage workload, and handle multiple responsibilities in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage social media or knowledge of IT support would be a bonus.
