Location: St. Paul, MN (Onsite from day 1)

Job Description

Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic Architect to design and develop information technology architectures, ensuring they align with business objectives and future growth needs. The Architect will be responsible for creating detailed specifications, models, and guidelines within a coherent IT architecture framework. This role requires a deep understanding of business, data, security, and technical architecture. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across organizational boundaries and develop a plan to transition from the current IT state to the desired future state.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop comprehensive IT architecture solutions, including business, information/data, security, and technical architectures.
• Develop and maintain architecture models, specifications, and guidelines in line with industry best practices and company needs.
• Analyze business requirements and define IT solutions to meet strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Define the target IT architecture and develop a transition plan from the current state to the desired future state.
• Work across teams to gather input and ensure architectural solutions are aligned with broader business and technical requirements.
• Ensure IT solutions meet security, regulatory, and compliance standards throughout the architecture process.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance IT architecture and improve overall efficiency.
• Provide leadership in defining long-term IT strategy and support the evolution of the IT architecture.
• Conduct regular reviews of existing IT architectures and propose enhancements to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and development teams.
• Participate in the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions, ensuring optimal use of resources and technology.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of IT systems, enterprise solutions, and infrastructure architecture.
• 8 years of experience in IT architecture with a focus on business, data, security, and technical architecture.
• Experience in creating and managing comprehensive IT solutions across large, complex organizations.
• Expertise in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and efficient architectures.
• Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
• Strong knowledge of IT security principles and practices.
• Experience with various architectural tools and methodologies (e.g., UML, ArchiMate).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)) are a plus.

Education Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
