Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer
Location: Ashburn, VA
Duration: Long term
- Research and investigate cyber security vulnerabilities that are produced by security scanners or found by security engineers.
- Do in-depth deep dives on vulnerabilities and their applicability for an application or a system.
- Devise mitigation techniques for application and system owners.
- Follow up on resolution of vulnerabilities with owners.
- Build proof of concept for exploiting vulnerabilities and perform tests to verify such vulnerabilities.
- Write code in terms of scrips and SQL statements
- Experience performing cyber security-related compliance and vulnerability management tasks.
- Experience in a wide range of application and vulnerability security tools including SAST, DAST, Port Scans, Open source scans and vulnerability agent scans.
- Experience with application development and application security.
- Excellent knowledge of vulnerabilities across different platforms and systems.
- Deep knowledge of Linux and Windows and their vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of the cyber security domain.
- CISSP or similar certifications
- Experience with Cybersecurity concepts like asset management, authorization, authentication, etc
- Hands-on experience with Cybersecurity tooling such as vulnerability management tools (e.g. Tenable) and application scanning tools (e.g. Fortify or Blackduck)
- Demonstration of strong technical and cybersecurity skills
