Techno is seeking a Design Manager to join our corporate team in our New York City or Princeton, NJ Office This senior-level role involves overseeing the design and execution of complex civil engineering projects while managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and schedule requirements.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, exceptional project management skills, and a passion for delivering innovative infrastructure solutions. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

Job Description:

• Lead, manage, and execute civil engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and client expectations are consistently met.
• Direct and review the preparation of design documents, including drawings, specifications, reports, and calculations, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated project solutions. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Ensure that all project deliverables meet client and regulatory standards through thorough reviews and site inspections.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by addressing concerns, providing updates, and delivering outstanding service throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the permitting process and ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist in project budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking to optimize resource allocation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on project and design management.
• Proficiency in civil design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Strong understanding of engineering principles, permitting processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, local regulations, and permitting processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and lead interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
