Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IT Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team in Frederick, Maryland. In this role, you will oversee and manage the daily operations of our IT warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of IT equipment and materials. You will also work closely with the IT, logistics, and compliance teams to maintain high standards of operation, safety, and organization within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing IT hardware and equipment.
- Supervise a team of warehouse staff, ensuring proper training, safety protocols, and performance management.
- Implement best practices for inventory control, tracking, and reporting to ensure accurate records of IT equipment.
- Collaborate with IT teams to facilitate the timely distribution of equipment for projects and maintenance.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to safety and security procedures within the warehouse.
- Develop and maintain efficient processes for warehouse organization and space utilization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve warehouse operational issues, including system discrepancies and shipping delays.
- Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of warehouse facilities and equipment.
- Perform regular audits of inventory and warehouse performance.
- Prepare and manage reports on inventory levels, order fulfillment, and operational performance.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and delivery teams to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably within an IT or technology-focused environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment, including servers, computers, and peripherals (up to 50 lbs).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for warehouse environments.
