Job Title: ITAD Auditor (Information Technology Asset Disposition Auditor)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized ITAD Auditor to join our team. The ITAD Auditor will be responsible for evaluating and verifying IT Assets (such as laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile phones, servers, networking devices, and more), ensuring compliance with industry standards, and safeguarding sensitive data throughout the asset disposal lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT asset management, auditing practices, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive audits of IT asset disposition (ITAD) inventory, through scanning of serial numbers, entering make, model, spec information into our ERP system.
• Ensure ITAD processes comply with legal, environmental, and industry standards, such as e-Stewards and R2/ISO 14001 certifications.
• Verify proper data sanitization procedures are followed, including the use of certified software tools and methods for wiping sensitive data from assets before disposal.
• Review documentation and records related to asset disposal, ensuring they align with company policies and compliance regulations.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., IT, legal, compliance) and third-party vendors to ensure the secure, environmentally responsible, and efficient disposal of IT assets.
• Perform on-site ITAD asset audits of 3rd party offices / data centers as needed.
• Provide periodic audit reports to management.
• Ensure proper tracking and reporting of assets during the entire disposition process to guarantee accountability and transparency.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of data sanitization methods, including physical destruction and software-based wiping techniques.
• Proven ability to conduct audits, and generate detailed reports.
• Familiarity with IT asset management systems (e.g., ITAM tools) and related software.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with environmental regulations related to e-waste disposal.
• Experience with asset tracking and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of hardware destruction processes and compliance standards.
• Strong organizational skills and experience managing audits in a fast-paced environment.
