Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Service Projects Team Manager to lead and oversee a team of professionals responsible for managing and delivering IT service projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for driving efficiency and customer satisfaction within an IT environment. As the IT Service Projects Team Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse team of IT professionals, including project managers, logistics coordinators, and support staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT service projects, from planning and initiation to execution and delivery. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring that project requirements are understood and effectively communicated.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently across multiple projects, balancing priorities and ensuring that team members have the necessary tools and support to succeed.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve project management processes, methodologies, and tools to increase efficiency and drive better project outcomes.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues early in the project life cycle and develop mitigation strategies to ensure projects stay on track.
- Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular project status reports, performance metrics, and updates to senior management. Maintain comprehensive project documentation for future reference and compliance.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs remain within the allocated budget and that financial goals are met.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in IT project management or service delivery, with a focus on managing teams and complex service projects.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certifications preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Solid understanding of IT service management processes (ITIL) and methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
