Job Summary:
We seek 4 dynamic and experienced Business Analysts to join our customer team for a project that optimizes the current reporting catalog. The successful candidate will work closely with business users and technical teams to review current reports, evaluate needs, and find ways to reduce, reconcile, and consolidate reports. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring that business objectives align with strategic goals. The Business Analyst will document technical requirements and work with IT teams to implement practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough review of the current reporting catalog
- Identify opportunities to reduce, reconcile, and consolidate reports.
- Analyze and improve the business reporting process, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
- Ensure that the optimized reporting catalog meets business needs and enhances efficiency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and define business requirements, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and technical specifications.
- Work with IT and development teams to implement solutions, ensuring they meet business needs.
- Support project management efforts to ensure timely and successful delivery of initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in a business analysis or related role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Technical knowledge and familiarity with technical documentation, including system specifications, user stories, and process diagrams.
- Experience with business process modeling and requirements gathering techniques.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the shipping or logistics industry is a plus.
- Experience in report consolidation and optimization.
- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or Project Management (PMP, CAPM).
