Position: Life Science Salesforce Program Manager
Location: Chicago Area.- REMOTE/HYBRID - Need local candidate
Duration: 12 months( Contract to Hire)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Program Manager with a strong background in Life Sciences to lead the strategy, implementation, and optimization of Salesforce solutions across our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of the life sciences industry (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical devices) and the ability to drive Salesforce CRM initiatives that enhance business processes, compliance, and customer engagement.
The Salesforce Program Manager will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to align Salesforce capabilities with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have strong program management skills, experience in Salesforce administration and development, and a proven track record of driving digital transformation within regulated industries
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Project Management:
- Define and execute a Salesforce strategy tailored to life sciences business needs.
- Manage end-to-end Salesforce implementation and enhancement projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Develop and oversee the Salesforce roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that align with business objectives.
- Drive change management and user adoption across the organization.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including developers, administrators, business analysts, and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Business Analysis:
- Collaborate with commercial, sales, marketing, R&D, and regulatory teams to gather business requirements.
- Translate business needs into Salesforce solutions that improve efficiency and compliance.
- Partner with leadership to drive data-driven decision-making using Salesforce analytics and reporting tools.
Salesforce Administration & Development Oversight:
- Oversee the configuration, customization, and optimization of Salesforce, ensuring it meets business and regulatory needs.
- Ensure integration with ERP, marketing automation, and other enterprise systems.
- Work with Salesforce developers and third-party vendors to design and implement scalable solutions.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure regulatory compliance with industry standards (e.g., GxP, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Maintain data integrity, security, and governance best practices within Salesforce.
- Stay updated on Salesforce trends and regulatory changes impacting the life sciences sector.
Training & Support:
- Develop and deliver Salesforce training programs to end users.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to ensure system effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in CRM usage.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in Salesforce program/project management, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical devices industries.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
- Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud or Veeva CRM (preferred but not required).
Technical & Functional Skills:
- Expertise in Salesforce configuration, workflows, automation (Process Builder, Flow, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components).
- Understanding of Salesforce integrations with enterprise systems (ERP, Data Lakes, etc.).
- Experience in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies for project execution.
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce Reports & Dashboards).
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for leveraging technology to improve business operations and customer experience.

- Salesforce Certified Administrator

- Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or Agile Scrum Master Certification (a plus)
