The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years managing and administering servers and systems, including cloud infrastructure and file/print environments, with a focus on Windows OS security and vulnerability management. We are seeking a highly skilled Security Vulnerability Engineer with deep expertise in Windows operating systems and server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years managing and administering servers and systems, including cloud infrastructure and file/print environments, with a focus on Windows OS security and vulnerability management. This role is essential in supporting our IT security posture, adhering to security frameworks and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Manage and secure Windows OS environments, including Windows 10, Windows 11, and server versions such as W2K12R2, W2K16, W2k19, W2k22.
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and SQL Server environments.
- Apply security measures via Group Policies (GPOs) and perform regular updates to ensure patch compliance.
- Utilize System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for software updates, patch management, and system monitoring.
- Conduct root cause analysis and risk assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as NIST-800 and DISA STIG for Windows servers and clients.
- Implement security configurations based on CIS Benchmarks for Windows servers.
- Work with FIPS 140-3 cryptographic modules as required.
- 10 years of experience managing Windows-based servers and systems, with advanced expertise in Windows OS, Active Directory, and SQL Server.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - Server Infrastructure or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of FIPS 140-3 and cryptographic modules.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, AWS CLI, Python, and VBScript for automation and scripting.
- Familiarity with Nessus Tenable scanning tools and ability to generate comprehensive security reports.
- Hands-on experience with MS Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word.
- Experience updating and installing hardware drivers, firmware, and BIOS for Dell servers.
- In-depth knowledge of common ports and protocols used by Windows servers and clients.
