Job Summary :
The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand their requirements, developing data models, creating interactive reports and dashboards, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Report and Dashboard Development :
- Design and develop interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models.
- Create visually appealing and user-friendly data visualizations.
- Data Modeling :
- Develop and optimize data models to support reporting and analytics.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and dashboards.
- Implement data transformations using Power Query (M language) and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Collaboration and Requirements Gathering :
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs.
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions and document specifications.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to use Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Data Integration :
- Integrate data from various sources, including databases, cloud services, and APIs.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to load data into Power BI.
- Ensure data is updated regularly and accurately.
- Performance Tuning :
- Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and scalability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Implement best practices for data visualization and report development.
- Security and Compliance :
- Implement and maintain data security and access controls within Power BI.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy policies.
