The Information Security team at our Top Fortune 100 client based in San Jose, CA seeks a Security Consultant to work with the team to help manage various projects and activities executed by the team to help drive ownership and accountability over protecting sensitive data and implement new processes and technologies for data security. This information Security Consultant will be someone that has a passion for evaluating risk posed by new or enhanced product development, while empowering rapid innovation and helping demonstrate the client?s dedication to security to the world. This role requires a mix of broad business and technical acumen, the ability to inspire and influence decisions pertaining to project deliverables, building consensus and exceptional ability to communicate with key stakeholders, good interpersonal skills to influence and drive subject matter resources to deliver on their tasks. This role requires a strong drive for excellence in project execution, attention to details with focusing on project objectives with understanding of systems and technology. The Security Consultant will be responsible for vulnerability management, tracking remediation, strategy around triaging issues and prioritizing which to implement in new releases of the product line. The PM needs to be able to speak the right language with the release team and developers to communicate what to fix and what to prioritize in the continuous releases. Additional responsibilities include : planning, tracking progress and milestones, deliverables, and creating and presenting reports.
Required Skills : Responsibilities : Partner with engineering teams and clients to focus vulnerability management and prioritize triage strategy per release driving project planning, execution and delivery Liaise with cross-functional engineering teams, security architects, operations and related stakeholders to gather requirements, plan, manage and complete projects. Develop and execute plans under set delivery time constraints to meet project timelines Identify and analyze project dependencies, risks and manage accordingly Establish communication and set expectations on appropriate remediation on findings Collect and report out monthly / quarterly project metrics for executives Collaborate with other project managers to align and synchronize timelines and project plans Create tickets on security assessment findings Required Skills and Experience : 3-5 years of project management experience Working knowledge of information security as related to product security and IT Knowledge in project life cycles, agile and waterfall methodologies Must be detailed oriented and highly organized Strong Interpersonal skills Ability to handle multiple projects, vendors, resources, timelines simultaneously PMP, CISSP, CISA, or CIPP certification a plus
