We are seeking a skilled and innovative Data Scientist to join our collaborative team. The candidate will perform analytics, create predictive models, apply machine learning techniques, and/or develop Generative AI (GenAI) methods for high-visibility projects. This role involves exploring data from multiple sources to gain insights that drive competitive advantages. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data science methodologies, including statistical analyses, knowledge discovery, data mining, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data studies of new and diverse data sources.
- Conduct statistical modeling and experiment design.
- Discover and communicate insights and "stories" told by the data to peers, software developers, business analysts, and business managers.
- Create and validate predictive models and advanced algorithms, including training AI and machine learning algorithms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Six or more years of experience in analytics and data science.
- Strong knowledge of programming and pattern recognition.
- Mastery of statistics, machine learning, algorithms, predictive modeling, and advanced mathematics.
- Knowledge of deep learning and Generative AI (GenAI) techniques.
- Experience working with security data.
- Experience working with networking data.
- Proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language) and other programming languages (e.g., R, C , Python) for statistical computing, graphics, and data mining.
- Experience with RDBMS, columnar, and NoSQL database technologies.
- Experience with Big Data and related tools such as Hadoop or Spark.
- Familiarity with tools such as R, RStudio, Python (SciPy, NumPy), Jupyter Notebook is desired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply them to business processes and operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between data science and business management.
- Ability to collaborate with business units, IT, and data scientists across the enterprise to support descriptive and predictive analytics processes.
- Strong exploratory analysis skills with a creative approach to research.
