Position: Low Voltage Project Coordinator
Location: In-office, Nashville, TN
Job Summary
The Low Voltage Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in coordinating and managing multiple projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with customer expectations. The Project Coordinator will work closely with internal teams, field technicians, and external vendors to ensure the smooth execution of IT service delivery, infrastructure installations, and cabling projects.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Coordination: Assist in scoping, planning, scheduling, and coordinating IT projects including hardware installations, network upgrades, low voltage cabling, and more.
- Vendor Research and Selection: Must be able to research and find new low-voltage, AV, security camera, and access control vendors in various markets, have the industry knowledge to be able to vet their experience, get references, and hold them accountable to performance deliverables.
- Vendor and Client Management: Serve as the main point of contact between clients, vendors, and the internal team to ensure clear communication and smooth project execution.
- Scoping and Research: Research client environments, conduct site surveys, and summarize information in order to accurately estimate tasks, labor hours, and materials for projects.
- Collect, maintain, and update vendor records; including non-compete agreements and internal vendor ratings.
- Cabling and Low Voltage Projects: Oversee and coordinate projects involving the installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems and low voltage systems, including AV, security, and access control systems.
- Resource Coordination: Assign and track the resources required for each project, including technicians, materials, and equipment.
- Time and Budget Management: Ensure that project timelines are adhered to, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed. Assist in maintaining project budgets and flagging any issues related to costs.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including work orders, timelines, and client communications. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status and milestones.
- Quality Control: Ensure all installations and services meet industry standards and client expectations, with an emphasis on white-glove service.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies and proactively addressing issues before they impact project delivery.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Hands-On experience in low voltage systems, including cabling, AV, security, access control systems, and telephony is required.
- Experience working with teams of low voltage techs.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, including on-call rotations and overnight travel.
- Completes site visits to do presales discovery of potential new clients
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Project Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of project coordination or management experience in an MSP or IT service environment.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, network components, and low voltage systems.
- Basic understanding of cabling standards and best practices for structured cabling installations.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
