Job Summary
An innovative cloud-based company in Austin is looking for experienced Backend Software Engineers at the Staff and Principal levels to design and build scalable serverless applications using AWS. In this role, you'll collaborate with teams to develop, architect, and implement solutions leveraging AWS services and serverless frameworks. Strong expertise in serverless architecture, along with proficiency in TypeScript, AWS CDK, Lambda, GraphQL, DynamoDB, and Node.js, is essential.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation and deployment of scalable software, ensuring it aligns with both technical and business objectives.
- Work closely with teams to shape the technical direction and ensure it fits the company’s long-term goals.
- Guide and mentor developers, encouraging ongoing learning and best practices in system design and coding.
- Lead code reviews, ensuring solutions are maintainable and scalable.
- Take ownership of large-scale projects, manage risks, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Architect cloud-based systems, manage data solutions, and streamline workflows.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advocate for continuous improvements and adoption of new technologies to optimize processes.
- The ideal candidate has a strong history of delivering scalable software solutions with a solid understanding of architecture and design principles.
- You should be experienced in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C , Go), adept at solving complex technical problems, and able to lead and mentor teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills are required, along with expertise in cloud platforms like AWS or similar.
- A deep understanding of cloud-native applications, serverless architecture, and software security is essential, with years of hands-on experience in software engineering, particularly in cloud environments.
