Compliance Officer
On-site Hybrid – Downtown Austin, TX (4–5 days/week)

What you get to do:

Support the implementation and evolution of a dynamic compliance program for a fast-scaling investment firm
-
Collaborate cross-functionally with investment, portfolio management, and operations teams
-
Draft, update, and test internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations
-
Lead and conduct compliance risk assessments, testing, monitoring, and training initiatives
-
Review and approve marketing materials and respond to third-party and regulatory inquiries
-
Serve as a key contributor in responses to due diligence questionnaires and ad hoc compliance projects

Communicate effectively across senior leadership, legal, and compliance stakeholders
What you need to succeed:
-
5 years of relevant compliance or audit experience within investment management or alternative assets (real estate background preferred)

Proven ability to author and execute policies, testing, and compliance protocols independently
-
Broad technical and operational understanding of finance, investment regulations, and enterprise risk
-
Experience with SEC-registered investment advisers is a plus
-
Self-starter who thrives in high-accountability roles and can juggle multiple projects without micromanagement

MBA or professional certification preferred

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong analytical and investigative skills
