Senior Network Engineer Houston, TX | Hybrid Schedule

Our Houston-based company is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to take charge of designing, deploying, configuring, and managing corporate computing services and infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure a predictable, secure, and highly available network that supports our global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure 24/7 network availability for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay ahead of network technology trends, making strategic recommendations.
- Implement best practices and tools to secure the network against internal and external threats.
- Provide leadership during major network incidents, ensuring rapid restoration of services and clear communication with stakeholders.
- Configure and support network equipment, including firewalls, wireless solutions, and load balancers.
- Lead the development and maintenance of IP-based phone systems and disaster recovery plans.
- Create and maintain detailed network diagrams and documentation, ensuring accessibility for the IT team.
- Train and mentor team members on network-related topics.
- Participate in on-call rotations and overtime as needed.
- Manage project plans using project management tools, ensuring timely delivery and regular status updates.
What We re Looking For
- Experience:
- 3 5 years of Network & Systems Administration in large organizations.
- Hands-on expertise with MPLS, VoIP (Cisco IP phones and Call Manager), Cisco ASA Security Appliances, and Barracuda Web Filters.
- Proficiency in VMware VDI and vSphere environments (preferred).
- Certifications & Education:
- CCNA certification (desired but not mandatory).
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field (referred).
