Minimum Salary: $43,646/Days: 226
Primary Purpose:
Perform technical support including, but not limited to, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware and software applications, peripherals, and audiovisual equipment. Assisting with troubleshooting networking equipment, cyber, and security systems. Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing audiovisual and computer hardware/software issues. Work closely with the campus personnel and other technical staff. Offer technical support on-site, via phone or email.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Clear and valid driver’s license
Google Level 1 (required)
Google Level 2 (preferred)
A Certified (required or to be achieved during the first year of employment)
Network (preferred)
Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of computer hardware
Knowledge of software applications
Knowledge of audio and video equipment principles
Ability to install, maintain, and repair computing and peripheral equipment.
Understanding of networking, communications, and security/cybersecurity systems
Ability to update and maintain accurate inventory and documentation
Excellent customer service and communications skills
Understanding of Google Apps for Education
Understanding of Apple equipment
Experience:
Three years of work experience installing, maintaining, and repairing computing equipment in general, preferrably in a K-12 institution/environment
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Installation
1. Install and upgrade computers and peripherals including printers.
2. Install and configure software.
3. Install audio/visual equipment including interactive televisions, projectors, and audio systems.
4. Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment.
5. Assist with installation of network peripherals and equipment.
6. Assist with cybersecurity and physical security systems.
7. Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of communications systems.
Equipment Repair and Maintenance
8. Diagnose and repair equipment, including printers and personal computers.
9. Reconcile enterprise management systems to maintain accuracy including, but not limited to, locations, models, serial numbers, MAC addresses, etc.
10. Service equipment according to the established preventive maintenance schedule.
11. Maintain accurate updated records in the inventory/helpdesk system to keep track of equipment, parts, and materials.
12. Maintain accurate records in the helpdesk ticketing system in regards to equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and general time spent performing duties.
Safety
13. Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures.
14. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, and carrying.
15. Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately.
Other
16. Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Equipment Used:
Hand tools and test instruments for electronic repairs and cable installations. Personal computers and peripherals, including printers.
Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Climbing, stooping, bending, and kneeling; frequent use of small hand tools and electronic test equipment; frequent district wide travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
