Primary Purpose:
Oversee the Technology Department's inventory of equipment and inventory of spare equipment for the entire district. Work closely with the Technology Buyer and act as the liaison between the Technology Department, manufacturers, construction contractors, and vendors to ensure all the equipment purchased is received. accounted for, and distributed as needed. Oversee and monitor the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process, shipping, and receiving of equipment to meet deadlines, standards, and completeness.
Education/Certification Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Forklift Operator Certification (required or to obtain within 2 months of employment)
Clear and valid Texas Driver's License
Acceptable driving record that meets the District’s insurance carrier requirements
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to drive/operate a forklift and box truck/cargo van with a lift
- Ability to use a manual and electric pallet jack and shrink wrap machine
- Understanding of technology equipment utilized in a K12 environment
- Ability to stage and handle equipment for multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to read and understand purchasing and inventory documents and construction drawings
- Knowledge of Technology Department inventory documentation software (OneToOne Plus preferred), including the ability to prepare inventory-related reports and presentations
- Ability to diagnose and repair technology equipment including but not limited to iPads, Chromebooks, and Windows devices
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently with little or no supervision
Experience
2 years of experience working in K12 technology, preferred
2 years of experience managing or supporting technology equipment in K12, preferred
1 year of experience using a forklift, preferred
Inventory
1. Assist with the deployment and inventory of all computer hardware, software, and supplies.
2. Maintain the district’s inventory system and keep all entries and records current and up to date.
3. Recommend the disposal and disposal of obsolete equipment when necessary.
4. Serve as the technology representative on all Technology department shipping and receiving.
5. Maintain the Technology Department’s area of the warehouse to ensure the equipment is properly organized and accounted for.
6. Coordinate with Support and Network Technology teams the timeline and delivery of technology equipment so it can be installed in a timely manner.
Technology Equipment Oversight and Support Operations
7. Deliver equipment and/or pick up items for salvage/recycling.
8. Create, maintain, and/or review documentation pertaining to projects to make sure all technology information is recorded.
9. Work with and meet the copier provider in the shipment, receipt, and placement of copiers across the district as needed.
10. Attend Technology meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
11. Repair and image Chromebooks and laptops while keeping staging workbenches organized and ready for further work.
12. Assist Technology in the coordination of any required third-party commissioning activities.
13. Ensure efficient warehouse operations by closely monitoring capacity, planning space for incoming and outgoing equipment, and making recommendations for optimal space utilization. Prioritize safety and organization throughout the warehouse to maintain a productive environment.
14. Work cooperatively with other departments in regard to warehouse usage, maintenance, and space.
15. Develop comprehensive reports on equipment utilization and capacity, as well as detailed inventory analyses for spare units, parts, and consumables. These reports should support efficient resource allocation, including repairs, equipment distribution to new students and programs, and overall operational optimization.
16. Work with the Technology Buyer to reconcile all orders, invoices, and purchase orders with received and incomplete shipments.

17. Implement the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy in the area of information management and technology.
18. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required.
Safety
19. Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures.
20. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, and carrying.
21. Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately.
Other
22. Attend professional growth activities to keep informed of innovations in inventory and warehouse management and technology services.
23. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology Support Services.
24. Respond to after-hours emergency calls as required.
25. Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures.
