POSITION SUMMARY
Technomark has a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn Screen Making. The Screen Maker is responsible for making the screens including frame and fabric selection; screen stretching; stencil selection, application, exposure, and development; and screen storage. The Screen Maker is also responsible for positioning images on the screen according to job specifications, blocking out and mixing emulsions, maintaining adequate screen making supplies, and performing general maintenance on screen making equipment by performing the following duties personally.
HOURS 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM MONDAY-FRIDAY
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide, maintain and store quality screens for the screen printers.
- Create new screens and reclaim existing screens in an efficient and cost conscious manner.
- Position film positives, expose, and develop screens.
- Ready screens and materials in a timely manner without sacrificing the high standard of quality.
- Maintain the screen making and reclaiming equipment. Secure waste in the appropriate containers.
- Using JobBoss and travelers, properly record all activity of operations including time, quantity good, quantity bad (Scrap), and the reason for the bad parts (Scrap).
- Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education /Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training preferred.
Required Skills:
- Light mechanical skills
- Knowledge of the screen printing process preferred
- Membrane switch manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow blue prints
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work individually and in a team with a diverse group of people
- Ability to read and understand English
- Comply with safety procedures
Physical Requirements:
Performing the duties of this job regularly requires the employee to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The Screen Maker must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing certain tasks (googles/face shield).
