Responsibilities
- Develop a robust and scalable database solution hosted in a AWS FedRAMP cloud environment.
- Design and implement data pipelines that align with user requirements, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Create user-friendly interfaces for the upload of new data records and facilitate the search and download of data by users.
- Provide expert advice on cloud technologies and collaborate with system owners to recommend appropriate solutions architecture.
- Manage AWS services within the AWS Console, including monitoring, scaling, and securing resources.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in writing and implementing detailed specifications for complex data processing workflows and system integrations.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying data pipelines in the AWS cloud environment using cloud-native microservices such as AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, or Amazon Redshift.
- Strong skills in performing unit and system testing to ensure that solutions meet requirements and function correctly.
- Proficiency in analyzing and resolving system failures, performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and software bugs.
- Solid understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python), SQL, and database management principles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of AWS security best practices and data protection mechanisms.
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with a focus on database design/management and cloud operations.
- CompTIA Security certification, or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with R and R Shiny for integrating analytical products developed by data analysts into the platform.
- AWS Developer or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in data engineering, software development, or a related field.
