Job Title: Site Superintendent

Location: Detroit, MI (Onsite)

Duration: Full Time

Core Responsibilities:

  • Safety Awareness and Commitment:
  • Demonstrated commitment to an injury-free environment.
  • Ability to mentor others in safety practices.
  • Technical Coordination and Design:
  • Proficiency in coordinating technology-related design and construction efforts.
  • Ability to provide technical expertise related to field installation and safety.
  • Implementation and Documentation:
  • Skilled in managing RFIs, ASCs, CCDs, and other client-approved documentation.
  • Expertise in document control for daily reports, safety documentation, job walks, and as-builts.
  • Trade Coordination and Scheduling:
  • Ability to coordinate trade work through the shop drawing and submittal process.
  • Skills in reviewing and aligning scheduling with subcontractors and PMs to match field conditions with the GC schedule.
  • Mock-Up Installation and Coordination:
  • Experience in supporting the installation and coordination of mock-up rooms/spaces with subcontractors.
  • Team Leadership and Motivation:
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to support project delivery to achieve financial, quality, and performance objectives.
  • Communication and Issue Resolution:
  • Effective communication skills to track, report, and resolve project issues promptly.
  • Participation in companywide communication programs and strategy sessions.
  • Schedule Development and Tracking:
  • Proficiency in developing schedules for submittals, shop drawings, BIM dates, scope additions, and mockups/training.
  • Skills in tracking and reporting project milestone progress.

  • Ability to assist in managing coordination efforts between GC and field teams for low voltage scopes.
  • Professional Development and Networking:
  • Commitment to maintaining and enhancing professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional societies.
  • Ability to establish personal networks and benchmark state-of-the-art practices.
  • Civic Engagement and Union Relations:
  • Engagement with local civic organizations and municipality activities.
  • Skills in managing union relations effectively.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Accuracy and Timeliness:
  • Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
  • Communication Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • General knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure and networking, including fiber, copper, LAN/WAN, wireless, and telephony.
  • Additional knowledge of low voltage hospital equipment (e.g., nurse call, overhead paging, access control, CCTV, PS DAS systems) is a plus.
  • Personal and Interpersonal Skills:
  • Strong personal and interpersonal skills as a self-starter with strong follow-through.
  • Project Process Knowledge:
  • Thorough knowledge of project processes and their roles in successful project completion.
  • Relationship Building and Collaboration:
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships within a team, both internally and externally.
  • Skills in managing subcontractors and maximizing time to generate future work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $95,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

  • Low voltage hospital equipment: 1 year (Required)

Ability to Commute:

  • Detroit, MI 48202 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Detroit, MI 48202: Relocate before starting work (Required)
