Position: IT Security Specialist
Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid role 3 days onsite 2 days remote)
Duration: 12 months
Internal Insight For Role :
This role requires automating the process of identifying and remediating vulnerabilities and compliance in a Hadoop platform. Resource should be able to work closely with global security team in remediating and reporting the platform compliance to security standards.
Hadoop Platform governance, Vulnerability management, Change management, incident management, Third party vendor co-ordination
- Understanding common vulnerabilities CVEs
- Good understanding on Platform Security for Cloudera Hadoop Platforms
- Good communication skills to interact with Vendor and Information security teams.
Programming
- write effective, scalable code in Python
- Test and debug programs
- Improve functionality of existing systems
- Assess and implement feature requests
Linux/HDFS
- Working knowledge of Linux OS and HDFS
- Understand and implement HDFS platform security and data protection solutions
- Write and decode shell scripts
- RCA of HDFS job failures
Python, Azure
- Knowledge of container security (in private and public setup).
- Experience in CDP/CDW (Cloudera) Platform Administration
- Experience in IT Incident Management Tools (i.e. Nexus, Remedy, Service Now etc.)
- Exposure to CDH/CDP System Security and Governance Tools (i.e. Ranger, Sentry, Atlas, Navigator etc.)
- Exposure to SDLC Tools (i.e. JIRA, Scrum etc.) and Concepts (i.e. Plan, Design, Build etc.)
- Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills
