Qualifications :
- Minimum : Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing setting : aerospace, robotics, automotive, medical device, or similar.
- Advanced user of SolidWorks CAD software.
- Hands on making experience : wood working, CNC, 3D printing, soldering, and other technical skills; thorough understanding of manufacturing methods, PCBs, waterjet, etc.
- Ability to integrate electronic components into mechanical designs (motors, controllers, sensors, etc.).
- Able to perform tolerance analysis to verify fit and function of designs.
- Highly driven to ensure high quality standards; experience implementing quality procedures.
- Ability to follow through and make significant progress in a fast paced, demanding, dynamic environment.
- Team oriented and good interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects at the same time.
- Detail oriented : ability to become subject matter expert in order to make informed decisions.
- Capable of working as a member of a team across several cross functional disciplines.
- Strong communication skills, technical writing skills, project management skills and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated success developing products in cross-functional environments.
- Simulation and Stress Analysis experience helpful.
