Sr. BI Developer - Onsite in Edison, NJ

Sr. BI Developer
Duration: 6 -12 months
Location: Edison, NJ (ONSITE)

NOTE: MicroStrategy, Tableau, and Power BI are Mandatory skills

The BI Developer will be working with the BI team to create BI solutions, develop new BI applications, dashboards, and maintain/upgrade existing systems. This group uses Tableau and Power BI currently, but is piloting other technologies. This group supports all aspects of business models and divisions within the company. Additional responsibilities are below.

Work with the BI team to create functional and technical requirements and design the solutions
Create report/dashboard prototypes
Collaborate with the team to design new features and functionality for existing applications and dashboards
Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based BI systems.
Participate in production releases

Skills:
8 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing BI solutions
Strong experience with MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI
Strong understanding of BI concepts and tools, including data warehousing, ETL processes, data visualization, and analytics.
Excellent knowledge of RDBMS, cloud, columnar, noSQL databases, and data warehousing concepts.
3-5 years of working experience with Advanced SQL
Experience applying SDLC best practices with demonstrated ability to quickly decipher, analyze, translate, and prototype in Agile development sprints
Strong BI mobile application development
Experience with data modeling techniques and database systems.
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for deploying BI solutions.
Demonstrated experience in modeling metadata, creating complex schema objects, and developing integrated data sets and cubes from multiple data sources
Experience with interactive/dynamic report and dashboard development and leveraging all visualization and functionality options available
Excellent communication skills

Plus Skills
* Knowledge of cloud-based BI/AI/ML data systems
* Cloud platform experience (Azure or Google)
* Experience with Python or R (data extraction/manipulation)
* Experience developing Trending Reports
