Position Description
We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Communications and Organizational Change Management Consultant to support federal government initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in designing and implementing tailored communication strategies, driving organizational change, and facilitating seamless engagement across multiple stakeholder groups. Experience working with data organizations is a strong plus. The consultant must be proactive, adaptable to emerging needs, and skilled at guiding clients through planning and execution while addressing diverse audiences with varying levels of subject-matter familiarity. This role will have a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week onsite at the US Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
Strategic Communications Planning
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive communication plans aligned with federal client goals and priorities.
- Create clear, targeted messaging for technical and non-technical audiences to ensure alignment across organizational levels.
- Collaborate with leadership to refine communication objectives and success metrics.
Organizational Change Management (OCM)
Client Engagement and Advisory
Responsive Execution
Data and Analytics Communications (Preferred)
Requirements
Experience : 7-10 years in strategic communications and organizational change management, preferably supporting federal government initiatives.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Organizational Development, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Skills :
Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with data organizations or analytics communications is a strong plus. Knowledge of LinkedIn a plus.
