Duties
- Originate and process mortgage loans
- Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans
- Ensure compliance with lending regulations such as TILA, Fair Housing regulations, and other legal requirements
- Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and closing departments to ensure a smooth loan process
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan application process
- Utilize financial software to input and track loan application data
Experience
- Previous experience in mortgage loan origination or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of underwriting, basic math, and financial principles
- Familiarity with loan origination software and customer relationship management tools
- Strong understanding of banking practices and contract interpretation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients
