Your Opportunity:
As a full-time Mechanical Engineer for TechSource, you will provide support to Scorpius, a scientific project that uses X-rays to image nuclear weapons and their components. The project is led by Los Alamos National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories. This role is a full-time, onsite role in Los Alamos, NM is required for this role (4/10 work schedule).

What You Will Do:
- Define, design and develop mechanical engineering solutions including hardware engineering, test software implementation, and instrument qualification
- Collect and perform statistical analysis on mechanical data to correlate to performance metrics
- Provide assistance to the engineering department for troubleshooting on new assemblies/designs
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- Retrieving items from other warehouses or offices
- Support assembly and testing of other accelerator components
