Key Responsibilities:
- Architect scalable and secure solutions for large healthcare organizations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategy
- Design and integrate healthcare IT systems such as EHR (Epic, Cerner, Meditech), HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and other interoperability standards
- Lead end-to-end cloud transformation initiatives (AWS, Azure, GCP) within enterprise healthcare environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop architecture roadmaps, technology standards, and best practices
- Ensure solutions adhere to HIPAA, HITRUST, and other regulatory compliance requirements
- Evaluate and recommend emerging healthcare technologies, APIs, microservices, and security frameworks
- Provide technical leadership in the implementation of AI/ML, data analytics, and automation solutions for healthcare workflows
- Define and enforce governance models, architecture patterns, and integration methodologies
- Serve as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, business leaders, and IT teams on technology decisions
- 10 years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 5 years in healthcare IT
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise solutions in large healthcare ecosystems
- Deep understanding of EHR/EMR systems, HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and healthcare interoperability
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures
- Strong knowledge of microservices, APIs, SOA, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST, SOC 2)
- Proficiency in security best practices, IAM, and data protection in healthcare environments
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern application architectures
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Architect, or SAFe certifications are a plus
- Experience with AI/ML, predictive analytics, and healthcare automation
- Background in IoT, telehealth, and remote patient monitoring solutions
